COVID-19 Update

(Updated on April, 3 2020)

Reborn Family and Friends,

We are continuing to pray for you all during this difficult season and we are seeking to care and serve you all along with our community through this time. As always, we want to care well for our church family at Reborn as well as our surrounding community. We want you to continue to trust and lean on Jesus as our source of hope and joy in the midst of this trial. We desire for you to fight the temptation to fear or panic regarding that which may destroy the body, but cannot destroy the soul (Matt. 10:28). The best way for us to continue to look to Jesus is to look to him together as a church and encourage one another in the gospel!

We have continued to monitor the Local, State, and National guidelines, along with the CDC and World Health Organization, concerning COVID-19. During this time, we will continue to monitor the developments and guidelines to ensure that we are serving our church and community well. In light of the most recent developments of our Governor’s Stay-at-Home order, we will be adjusting some of our regular church rhythms as well as adding a few new rhythms over the next few weeks.

The Reborn Church is responding in the following ways for the rest of the Month of April:

Sunday Worship:

Please stay at home and abide by the Governor’s Stay-at-Home order. However, if you are in need of a food box or in need of prayer our doors will be open to you. This will be the primary reason for our doors being open. Our church staff will gather on Sundays for Worship, along with anyone who has an assignment on the order of worship, for the purpose of recording our worship service for you all. Our Sunday worship gathering will still begin at 10:00am and will end at 11:30am.

At this time, we want you feel the freedom to stay home and worship with us via online streaming on Facebook and YouTube. Please use this as an opportunity to worship Christ with your families. While online gathering is not the standard for the gathering of the saints, we understand we are in a unique time within our history and we must use wisdom to protect each other and our families from the spread of the virus. The sermon notes will be provided to you on the website and via the YouVersion Bible App by going to Events and finding our church. Please utilize those notes and discussions question to study God’s Word together with your families. There will also be Reborn Kids lessons for you to print off before hand provided on the website.

Additionally, we want to continue responding to Christ with giving. Please continue to give online on our church website as these gifts go to support our gospel work here.

Monday Night: Prayer and Spiritual Warfare

Please stay at home. Pastor Gabe will be live streaming his spiritual warfare study and will be taking your prayer requests.

Wednesday Night: Bless the Block

Please stay at home, unless you are one of our church staff or in need of a food box. Food boxes will be provided between 3-5pm. At 5:00pm our doors will be closed. If you need a food box, please let Betty or Lisa know before Wednesday.

Wednesday Night: Membership Class

Please stay at home. We will be working on creating an online classroom format with worksheets in the future, but at this time we will utilize Zoom meetings. If you would like to continue your membership class via Zoom Meetings, please contact Robert Batrez or Pastor Eric.

Wednesday Night: Apologetics & Evangelism Class

Please stay at home. We are currently discussing the best way for Vocab to teach this class.

Wednesday Night: Bible Study

Please stay at home, unless you are one of our Bible Teachers. We are opening the church for our Bible Study Teacher to record their Bible Study live between 3-5pm. The Bible Study Teacher will provide you with his Bible Study notes and discussion questions for you to follow along after you watch the Study. You will all be assigned a Zoom meeting group to stay connected for Wednesday nights (more information will be provided on this within the next few days). Please use this time to encourage and care for one another.

We have done our best to remain open during this time in our country. There will be more updates to come. We love you all and continue to pray for you during this time. It is truly a joy to be a part of this church and to serve Jesus with you all!

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Gabe Manjarrez & Pastor Eric Manjarrez
